Default Greetings- Moving to Vegas Soon

Hi everybody. I own a MY01, and I"ll be moving to Vegas next month. I'm really excited about living there, and I know you guys have a pretty active group, which is good.

Anything you think I should know prior to coming out there? I've been through there with my S once before, but that was a long time ago. How do the roads / conditions fair for our car (besides of course the constant beating sun)

Thanks for your inputs!!!

Jason

First of all, welcome! Secondly, it is very hot during the summer and takes some getting used to. What part of town are you moving to?

Viva Las Vegas... make sure you bring lots of one dollar bills. Roads are cool.. can be slipperly at tiimes. There are alot of new roads that are very driver friendly too.

Jason you don't want to live there. It's ghetto and far away from everything. You might be able to get to the strip in like an hour or two. j/k

It's actually a pretty nice area and in Vegas as long as traffic isn't bad (depends on time of day) you can get anywhere in just about 30 mins. The strip can be anywhere from 20 mins to an hour away from you depending on time of day. The 95 blows during rush hour or just about anytime mid-day and the amount of construciton and accidents don't make it any better.

Welcome to the group. We look forward to meeting you when you get out here. I went ahead and gave you a Vegas badge. Enjoy!

Welcome... Vegas is an interesting place, In the five years I've been here I've seen some good and some bad things about this town. Important thing is to try and not to get too involved with the vairous Vices that can be found here, primairly gambling and drinking (the two seem to go hand in hand) Indulge a little if you like but try and not let it take over. I've seen it happen too many times.

other wise this is a great bunch, plenty of "Color" so to speak. different people, different Ideas and such. Its great. Good people, most are willing to help out with just about anything. Pretty easy bunch to get along with. except for Karim, he can be an ass some times.
