Default Brake Shops

Does anybody have any good experiences with brake shops here in town? I need to go to one that is reliable. I sure wish that we had a Sherwin and BrakeZone here in Vegas!

(Flame Suit On)...I am getting a Brembo BBK. I want to make sure that whatever shop installs them has spacers so that I wont have downtime from the car. I might just buy a spacer and hope that clears and then go from there. I will be doing the Comptech rear brake upgrade as well within a month or so to match the front BBK.

You need to get the spacers ahead of time. I'd be surprised if any place had a selection of spacers in stock that covers all the necessary widths and different bolt patterns out there

Thanks JP. I suppose that I will buy a couple of spacers. One that I hope will fit and one that will be the most extreme and then I can go from there. So I guess that I will get it installed at Casa De Dustin unless somebody thinks I should have it done professionally.

You're swapping calipers and rotors? It's a kit made for the S2K? If those are both true then there's no reaosn Dustin can't handle it. The smartest thing to do would be to find out what spacer is needed with your particular rim. Maybe see if you can get a template of the caliper to make an edumacated guess?

Im going to discuss that with Dustin tomorrow. Stoptech has a template and I would guess that the Brembo is about the same size as the Stoptech. I believe they are both 13" rotors. Thanks for the help JP!

Yeah, so the install should be no big deal. Just make sure he has an impact driver to remove the rotors and a 10 mm line wrench to deal with the brake lines. Other than that it's all just basic hand tools.

If anything, I'd guess the Stoptech caliper is bigger than the brembo one so if their template fits you could be fairly confident the sizing is close.
