I use SPAMIHILATOR which is available free. You still get spam but over a period of time it gradually reduces as it "learns".

Most spam can be put in a "blocked senders" list and by using a wild card "*" (asterix) before the @ ALL mail from the sender will be cast straight into the recycle bin.

I have found it certainly saves me a lot of time deleting and reading spam messages.

I just delete them meself. It is nice to get them, never know when something handy might arrive!
