Looks like we might get some ease on oil prices, since the Chinese are upping the cost of oil to their own people.

Anyone see anything that would explain MOS getting hit so hard today?
The ag names got taken out today later in the day.

SQM was up 7% and then went down to -4% (i think). big swing.

i'm ready to pull the trigger on the ag names once it pulls back.

add more pot, start positions in sqm and maybe mos.

Currently holding RIMM long with a 22% gain. Looking to sell before earnings next week. Think they will beat but lower guidance sighting a weak economy.

What makes you think SQM is a good value at these levels? That's always the most difficult portion of analysis for me. I can identify a solid firm and more or less fit it in the bigger picture, but with a P/E that just went from 6X to 75 as of earlier today, when is too high too much to pay? I like the firm itself from the large macro perspective all the way down to the individual sources of income.

As a reference, say against AAPL where do you think SQM is at. Is SQM 140 AAPL or 200 AAPL?

Check this company out. Watch the video. They are printing solar panels with carbon nanotube ink on metal foil at a rate of 100 ft/min with the capacity to do 2000 ft/min. A look at the investor list shows the Google guys in there like pigs in shit. It's how you go from being super rich to being mega super rich.

You can't invest in the company (private, not seeking capital) but damn that's some crazy technology.

I'm guessing it's trading on momentum rather than analysis, not that there is anything wrong with that.

Re oil -- hearing ChevTex Escravos production in Nigeria (120mb/d) knocked out by militants. No details on extent of damage or timing to get back on stream. Would expect a pop in oil prices today.
