YGE is ripping me a new A hole but I bought it as a gamble with high rewards and big risk. You cannot always guess a bottom. Buy the companies you like at the current low price and stick with it.
umm... it should be apparent by now that yge has been hammered due to the uncertainty on solar subsidy levels in spain. there is a proposed cap of 300 mw, which is very low considering over 1,000 mw were installed last year in spain. add to that the uncertainty on solar subsidies here in the US, and you can see that the solar industry will have a battle unless we get major political changes worldwide.

No, these are not tech stocks. They are media stocks since their revenue is generated through advertising not tech spending. Both GOOG and BIDU are dogs. Advertising does well in a good economy and is one of the first things cut when money gets tight.

I've seen Google revenue on S2KI drop 50% over the past 2 years due to increasingly lower quality ads. It's some indication of where GOOG is sitting right now.

Which tech stock would you recommend? I'm very heavy on AAPL

Any reason I should not buy ATVI now besides that it might dip a little more before riding up the tech season?

shoulda picked up msft at 25s...although it is a dog, it is usually a dog that hovers at around 30... safe bet for capital presevation in this environment however.

adbe is solid, i own a shitload , they have been doing a lot of sharebuy backs recently and have lotsa good stuff in the pipeline!!! but wait for a pullback. 40 dollars is fair, anytihng below 40, u need to jump on. they are at the forefront of Software as a service and still enjoy the huge margines of a well run software company.

i agree with cthree, whole foods is a scary stock to own. hard to judge if its just a fad or not. in this recessionary environment its way to early to put money on.

goog and bidu...thats so 5 years ago.

ATVI has not been trading in anything close to a bullish fashion, buyer beware. There have been two 2%+ Nasdaq days when ATVI traded negative on little to no news, including today.

I might get rid of some YUM later in the afternoon. Dollar strength is likely to continue.

I watched a CNBC show last night "Made In China" The peoples Profit. Seem to me Yum is rapidly growing over there and they are introducing the Chinese food line.
