MRK also got beat up by today's Vytorin study. Heh, not as bad as SGP! I can't believe they both chose to delay today's report.

Out of these three gold plays. Which is the best of the three to invest in for the LT?

GLD is the only pure play. The other two are in the gold business but come with business risks apart from gold itself (mine problems, new finds, labor issues, management and accounting issues).

If you want to invest in GOLD then GLD is your ticket. If you want to invest in a gold miner then pick from the other two.

This rally is just about over. Financials are now making moves that are unexplainable based on fundamentals. All you have to do is look at Wachovia today.

Wamu releases a loss of $3.34 well below estimates.

It should jump 20% tomorrow because the numbers "were not that bad".
