Why not ride it out.. and see if it drops a steady 1-2% for a couple days, sell half, and ride out the other half.

Take some $$ while you've made it

^^^ It's not quite paying 5% anymore, but if you like dividends, you have to check out PM (the spinoff from MO that is Philip Morris' non-US operations). Currently pays 4.4% and has a sustained double-digit annual growth rate.

^^^ It's an OTC penny stock.

https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=445740

Discussing or pimping any OTC, BB, pink slip or penny-type stock is not permitted. If it doesn't list on an exchange, if it doesn't trade for at least $1.00 / share, if it doesn't have a capitalization of $50 million or more, or if it has a ticker symbol ending in ".OB" or ".PK" we don't want to know about it.

How about something like CIM?

Dividend is $0.72 per share. Yielding 16.7%.

It's a REIT which invests in mortgage backed securities.

I don't know how well it will continue to do, or what will happen if interest rates go up.

T (AT&T) 6% dividend held for over a year now, not an exciting stock but the 6% dividend is nice. Plus I'm up from 25.98 to 28.50 in that time.... 10% gain works for me

How many shares do you have?

10% gain good enough meaning, you'll sell all? sell some? hold on to it and hope it continues to rise?
