Here's an audio clip from the S&P pits during the huge drop yesterday. Crazy.

EU debt crisis averted? $1 Trillion in loan guarantees agreed to between the IMF, EU Central Bank, and the European commission.

S&P futures are up nearly 5% for the market open. Should turn into a monster short squeeze today. BCS up over 20%

Is today's drop sales to purchase european stocks in response to the euro bailout, or is something else going on?

My gut impression is that recent market gains have been based on hope of a recovery, but little else. An upward jump upon approval of a European $1 trillion bailout fund is nice - but doesn't necessarily reflect what that fund will accomplish. Seems like gains are based on euphoria, and losses are based on reality. Buy low, sell high... IMO.

There are all sorts of reasons out there but from what I've been reading and watching is this is all technical trading and the market is back filling the drop it had due to last Thursdays plummet (justified or not.)

ECB has thrown their hands up and are now blatantly manipulating the Euro.
