The DOW crossed 11,000 today for the first time in a year and a half, but closed just below that threshold.

Market is way over heated IMO. I'm still cautiously long because any sell off appears to end with short covering. Overall macroeconomic environment in the western world especially is barely better than when we were at march lows.

Intel just hit one out of the park. Their significantly raised gross margin guidance is the most telling data that shows they are seeing strong demand. This bodes well for other tech infrastructure plays, despite the group's recent run-up in the past 2 months or so...

Intel 1Q profit nearly quadruples; company predicts increased profitability
Jordan Robertson, AP Technology Writer, On Tuesday April 13, 2010, 4:31 pm
SAN FRANCISCO (AP) -- Intel Corp. said Tuesday its net income in the first quarter nearly quadrupled over last year and reflected an overall bump in spending on technology by companies.
Among other things, Intel got a lift from sales of new chips for computer servers -- the kind of purchase that many companies delayed in the recession.
Intel is the first major technology company to report earnings for the first three months. It said after the market closed Tuesday that it earned $2.4 billion, or 43 cents per share, in the first three months of 2009.
Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters were expecting profit of 38 cents per share.
The company also raised its forecast for a key performance measurement. Intel now predicts a gross profit margin of 62 percent to 66 percent of revenue in 2010, up from its previous guidance of 58 percent to 64 percent of revenue.

^^^I've been holding some ultralong ETFs - FAS, TNA, SSO for about a year or more. I know it's not the best thing to hold 2x and 3x ETFs long term due to the decay effect when the market moves sideways. They have all paid off handsomely. If you hold them long term (which again is not always the best idea) you get the dividends too.
I don't know how the Ultra short ones work with dividends...

what do you guys think about C? I've up 14% should I pull the plug or hold onto it? Also is anyone betting on rimm's earning? One stock you guys might want to consider buying is Xom. I've made a nice killer profit off this stock and i believe is has room to move higher.
