Why not WFC to replace one of them? They aren't going anywhere.. same with BAC.
I've over doubled my money on some WFC in the last few weeks. Good solid company.

That was downgraded by Moody's yesterday. Not that they are 100% correct, but ..............

I'm trying to convince my GF to throw a few grand in the market after this rally is over, and we see low 7000's high 6000's... So far not so good .

While she makes 1% APR on her ING acount..

Anyone play around with the 3x ETFs, particularly FAZ and FAS? I've been dabbling for about a week. Very volatile day trading instruments with potential for large quick profits, and even faster losses...

First I'll say I have a very unconventional portfolio. 50% in PrivEquity (my business) and nearly 30% in ETF's..half of which are ultra shorts and the rest are tied up as a 'favor' for a friend, whom I won't disclose.

There is a time and place for those ultra leveraged funds. I have played around with the 3x's you've mentioned but feel there are better options which would require less hedging and steadier/more predictable return. That and I don't follow the Russell typically.
