Definitely nice call. Hopefully the stock breaks out of the market trend rather than following it like a lap dog. I doubt that though seeing that the healthy companies that are getting after earnings pop come right back down to where they were before.

I'm looking to start a position in BP and add to my JNJ position.
JNJ @ 55.00
BP @ 40.00
Haven't been able to get these prices for the past few days but if we don't hold the 8k mark, then it's game time.

I still have half of my BP position I bought in at 39 and 40 the last time energy tanked. Got rid of the half at 48. Bought extra AAPL prior to earnings and sold half of the extra today. Sold some SDS and SRS. My long term hasn't been very active lately, just being patient. Only a few trades this month.
At work I've had a string of winning days until SEB got me pretty good. A guy with some size showed up right above me as soon as I got in and pushed the bid down hard before I had to just let it go down 20 points a share. Been making decent money off banking preferred shares lately, especially WFC-J and BML-Q.

Dow 7800-8000 is a great entry point for SPY or QQQQ. The trading range is between 7800-9100 and will continue to do so until we get that massive gap up. When that happens who knows, but I want to be in to for that ride. I will continue to buy low and sell high in this bear market.
If you want to hedge gas, look up UGA, its the unleaded gas etf, I brought at 16.75 on christmas eve, still a great buy at 21

Sahtt: With your experience with BP, do you feel that their dividend is safe?
I'd take KMP over BP if you want a safe dividend. There is a reason KMP's price patterns are so steady. I've got more in MO and KMP than BP at this point. I'm becoming less and less risk averse with firms cutting their dividends.
