Yup, very expected. The Fed is all in and that is all the market needed to get off the floor. The last bit of overhang is the auto bailout. Once that's settled, no matter which way it goes, things should settle right down.

I'm concerned that's not such a small overhang. But I guess the TARP funds can be thrown around like a druken sailor throwing bills at a strip club. Or is it soft-landing bankruptancy now? Won't be so soft when consumers avoid those cars even more than they do now!

UBS is forecasting Oil at $20/barrel in 09 and gold at $300. I wonder how this jives with their $156/barrel prediction in May.

Overpaid weathermen.

Just look out the window FFS.

i'm sure they're positioned for oil and gold prices to push up in '09

You must be suffering a great deal of pain then. My sympathies.
not sure why you think gold stocks are doing badly??? They've actually done quite well and i've actually made money with GLD and KGC this year......unlike many of my other picks

Gold mining stocks have taken it in the shorts. You wouldn't have done so well staying long on ABX, ABM, AUY, or most of the others.

It is mentally numbing seeing the market barely making any percentage moves throughout the day. I've been so conditioned to huge up and down swings in stocks that a few percent here and there don't feel like anything.

AAPL will crush in January. Analysts are stupid.
