You really need to do some search yourself before buying into any type of ETF. It sounds like you never have done this before.

ETF are almost like mutual funds but you can trade them like stocks. Most mutual funds will require you to hold them for 1-3 months min before you can sell it, otherwise they'll charge you a 1-5% penalty for selling it at a earlier time frame.

Clutch, leveraged ETFs are an alternative to buying on margin. One big difference if you can only lose your initial investment in the ETF. If you buy on margin you might have to pony up MORE money when the stock tanks. But the leveraged ETF downside is their management fee, taken "off the top" of the fund -- win, lose, or draw. I don't mind fees around 0.7% but be aware they can run to multiple %!
ETFs don't have to be leveraged. They are a convenient way of buying a basket of stocks, like "solar power" or "financial sector."

DOG and DUG baby
Ultrashort ETFs the way to go. Buy on any retarded emotional rally (e.g., election)
Do a quick search - election rally never lasts and never really starts until ast least 2 yrs after office

Closed my C March 10 puts today for a nice 222% gain. My first options trade! It's been such a quick fall for C I got worried about an upward bounce. Wanted to lock in those gains.
Also unloaded some DXD @ $100 for about a 70% gain. Still holding a few shares just in case (when) we see DOW 6000.
