Finished setting up all my trades in my LT account. I will be a light buyer near the lows and a heavy buyer about 5% below it. That being said, I will only be adding very lightly to energy holdings, and proportionally heavy to higher dividend stocks.

Nice recovery off the lows today to close at the highs on the day. That was a nearly 9.5% swing off the lows to the close! Pretty encouraging! (Of course watch us be down 9% again tomorrow...)

I bought some EMC earlier today. IT spending will be down, but I think that's largely priced in already. What is not priced is is that there will inevitably be new corporate and banking regulations coming from Congress in the near future, and those are likely to expand record retention requirements. EMC could be the big winner if that's the case.

I would pass on this as with all commodities right now.

I believe we still have more unwinding to do with them. Unfortunately, I still have positions in it along with other names. But I did sell some last week to free up some more cash.

Buy MCD then. Buying POT because people have to eat is a not too wise.

I'd go with names like KFT, YUM, MCD also if you want some food stuffs.

On POT, people have to eat but fertilizer doesn't have to cost as much. Check out its five year price chart. You can't say folks eating caused that absurd rise. Try the ethanol mandate instead.

i think its pretty obvious there are many picks out there with same upside but much less risk than pot right now.
