I think even if I qualified to contribute to a good hedge fund I might still choose to run my own money. I enjoy it.

any major hedge fund is going to be looking for a minimum of a million dollars to invest...hope you have some money saved...

Investors with less money might be able to invest in hedge funds through funds-of-funds. Two levels of management fees, but, you pays your money and you takes your chances . . . you can't win if you don't play.
