Default credit card.

i want to start some credit by getting a credit card, i was wondering what is a good credit card to start with.
4 years ago i applied for a secure credit card with BOFA and on the application sheet i put that i wanted auto-pay (bill gets deducted from checking monthy) and they never put it. i found out a month later when i had late fees and all that stuff.
they fixed it and the delincuent charges were corrected in my bill and in my credit report.(i closed that account)

fast forward 3 years and again i filled the application with BOFA for a secure credit card and again they f@#ked up.
this time i had the application sheet notarized with the bank manager and all that, so when i showed them that they immediately fix it gave me 60 dollars in travelers checks and a letter from the regional manager saying they are sorry blah, blah, blah. that they are working with the credit bureau to fix the mistake.
(i closed that account)

well now i dont have a credit card, im 21, just cell phone and insurance as bills.
i was wondering what credit card is a good one to start with.
my first thougt was AmericanExpress (blue). however i would like to stay with visa, but if their is something better out there, hey.

get a regular AMEX, not a Blue. It does wonders to your credit score, and it has to be paid every month so you can't accidentally get in trouble with it.

Right now im using Citi Dividend rewards or something like that. Gives me some percentage back like 1% on all purchases and 3% on gas and groceries. Its pretty decent.

I think there is a website that ive been to that compares all kinds of credit cards side by side. Might be worth looking for.

And since we ALL pay off our credit cards in full each month, we can check out the best rewards cards since interest rate doesnt hurt us too much...RIGHT?!
