I think the best investment is that which gives us more profit than investment amount. It does not matter which type of company but Whether it is productive or not.

The best investment vehicle in terms of rate of return historically has been the stock market. But asset diversification is key to any investment portfolio - stocks, bonds, real estate, maybe some currency, maybe some precious metals, etc. Someone starting with a large sum of money has a much easier time effectively diversifying their holdings than someone starting with a small amount.

Any reason in particular why you are so certain that "the market is about to crash again"?

I'd probably consult that crystal ball you've got for advice.

If you're asking, you're young enough to not have to lose sleep over short-term market volatility.

If you're concerned about losing money that has an additional sentimental value, play with it conservatively and look to property.

Regardless, use many baskets for your eggs.

Thanks I am pretty young but know the true value of money. I don't want to blow it all away of course but invest a little bit into something that will bring back lots of return. Maybe 10-20k to startoff.

I was in a similar situation (not quite that much $) and ended up buying some repo homes and renting them out. I'm pretty young (turn 26 this week) and am doing pretty well. Obviously the housing market is a little different now, but this just means there are even better deals to be made. The hard part is keeping the houses rented 100% of the time. Do this and you will be set.

I set up a domestic bond fund and have never regretted it. I currently reinvest the dividends and have done pretty well overall. Its not a very exciting way to invest but it really helped to diversify my portfolio and I have avoided volatility in the market.

To the OP - are you employed? If not, consider buying a franchise.
