Tyres
Hi - rear tyre blew last week on szr - bit a panic moment but a text book veer right to the hard shoulder - surprised myself.
The garage replaced just the rear tyre (michellin, all the rest were bridgestone) - had major issues with the car veering right as rear wheel drive, new rear tyre and an old one etc etc.
I now have two new rear michellin tyres (veering to the right issue solved) and the front ones are bridgestone with 30k km's on them - she feels a bit unstable on the front, especially when going 5k rpm and above round corners.
Anyone with experience of this ? I haven't driven the car for a while so am thinking maybe just not used to it again?
Do i need to replace the front as well?
Thanks
Andy

30 thousand kms on the front ones while you have brand new tires on the rear wheel can in fact result in much better grip on the rear tires relative to the front ones. 30 thousand km difference can be pretty big, especially on this car, especially if you tend to push it sometimes... Also, simply having different sets front and different in the rear can result in relatively more or less grip depending on the specific tires.
I would definitely get new tires for the front as well.

^ I agree
but getting Michelins which ones to be exact? I swapped with Sumitomo's on all 4s and they are as good or better then Bridgestone in traction and around corners.
They are have the price of the Bridges and I am not the only happy guy on here

The same Michelins that are on the rears. If he can get them.
I am actually thinking about ordering tires (Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec) from tirerack.com because the selection is rather limited here in Oman.

Great, thanks for the advice! My other choice was actually the RE11 and if you have good experience with those, I will probably go for those. Can you get them in the UAE?
3 blowouts?? Dang... Not good.

I have Sumitomo on both my S2k's and have the +1 size 225/255
@peti: RE11 are very good tires you can use them on the track as well but if you are not tracking then Sumitomo HTR Z III is the way to go.
