Launching an s2k
#2
i highly do not recommend launching the S,
probably the weakest part of the s2000 is its diff.
but i still launch it sometimes lol.
some guys on here rev till 6,000rpm and drop the clutch.
but if u want ur diff to last longer i think Revving it to 5,000 rpm and slowly feathering the clutch should do the trick. this way the clutch would get most of the shock not the diff.

5000 is safe, but then it depends completely on you, where ever you are comfortable.
I sometimes launch it at 7~8000 as well (drag races). I have a hyper single clutch kit installed, it works GOOD with that.
On stock clutch 5000 is good, i will slip burn the clutch but not as fast.

and dont forget each road have different grip, some have alot of grip so 6k-8k would have stunning resaults, and not knowing to launch well will cost you your diff.
and some roads you'll be spining if you launched it from 3k even. so it all depends

Never seen a diff case on S2000 (mine might be soon ). but yes road grip level makes lot of difference.
On Dubai/Abu Dhabi roads i think you are good on 4-5K launch

4-5 gave me best results at the strip - without destroying anything in the car or reducing the life considerably! Depends on how much you care about the car or if you are loaded to repair anything that goes wrong - or like Umair, have modded parts that can handle it!
