Default Jobs in Dubai...

I was wondering how difficult it is to find a job in Dubai? Here's a little background info about me so you can see what I'm working with...

I'm originally from Syria, but live in Florida. I speak fluent arabic and english. I'm currently 23 years old, graduated from FIU w/ a Marketing & Int'l Business degree and I'm currently enrolled in an MBA program. I have had a lot of experience in retail and sales, as well as customer service. I've been in management positions. I also have a lot of computer experience. I am currently working at one of the largest advertising agencies in the US.

I would really like to work in the Middle East, because I love it there, and I figured Dubai would have the best opportunities available. Any info is appreciated.

Advertising agency line of business is quite good in the middle east. I run an agency myself, small operation.

I would say to apply via web in different agencies and see the response. i am sure you will have someone contacting you. Best to test grounds and see your worth in this market before making any decisions.

Whatever you get offered from this market you can always discuss with us and we can tell you whats good and what is not.

I think the main problem is that I'm unaware of the agencies, yet alone the companies in Dubai to start applying. Any recommendations?

In Dubai only there are more than 600 advertising agencies.

the best place to start is:

http://www.middleeastmediaguide.com/

This has some agencies and all but not the FULL listing.

Also look into recruitment companies which u can find online or if u want i can paste links of the good ones.

Hi guys.... and gals of course (superbabe)

I'm currently in a similar position to the op.. I'm getting a friend of mine in Dubai to send me a list of recruitment agencies and when that happens I will post it here.
Hopefully this will help.

Sorry for hi-jacking but, I'm thinking of heading out to Dubai in November to see what the scene is like and then decide do I make the move. Anyone here give me an insight into what going on over there..
By the way, I'm Irish (born in Saudi to Irish parents)..
I too am in senior management here for a plastics company..
And when I come out, somebody's got to bring me for a spin in their S..
And if you're ever in Dublin, I'll do the same

All the best,

Oisin

Umair!
Good to get a response, I was starting to feel neglected.
My plastics are of the non-volatile variety
I'm involved in disposable plastic packaging for retail. we also sell raw material for moulders etc etc.. not to exciting, guess thats why I'm looking for the change of scene.

As for spinning around in a S in Dubai, I'll gladly take a spin in all three. I wouldn't want to offend by leaving any out.
Sure it'd be a nice change to actually have weather that allows for the top to be down!

Ha finally someone who acknowledges the females over here Good on ya!

Hmm Dublin or Dubai - rain or sunshine...

Whatever it is, it's always different when you live in a country. You might love it when you're just on holidays but you'll only know for sure when you've actually taken the step. But hey, if you don't like it, you can still go somewhere else anytime right
