How much $$$$ to get an S2000 ready for a track.
How much do I need to upgrade my car to perform well on the track bearing in mind that I need to have the stuff installed in Dubai or Abu Dhabi.
A friend of mine clocked 1:18 on the club circuit (2.4 km) the on the track evening on 21st Dec with his Cayman S. Will I be able to match this considering I improve my driving skills?

Naim Cayman S is easy kill on the track, all you need to start with is:
- Good tires & Skills
When you want to go higher and better spec then you can consider:
- Headers/Exhaust
- Intake
- Suspensions
- ECU upgrade
Let me know, got most of the stuff locally, new and used. I have spent lots of time and $$$s in this.

Thanks for the encouraging words guys and I do understand that the most important mod is the driver.
But how can you say that the Cayman S is an easy kill? This car has supposedly better handling capabilities than the 911 as claimed by many magazines! It has also tracked better times on the Nurnburg Ring than the 911. The only advantage that the carrera s has over the cayman is on the straights.
I have driven the cayman and does handle very well. I would love to prove my s2k handles better.

Good semi slicks you are talking about AED 1000 each (average). Plus you will need set of rims. Best would be to get an aftermarket good wheels for daily driving (car looks better) and put the semi slicks racing tires on your stock wheels. Or vice versa!
Cayman S kill, you will know soon. Straight lines ofcourse that is better, track handling i would rate S2k higher comparing to Cayman and boxter. Yes Cayman is alot improved and refined. It stands between 911 and Boxter.

Honestly, genuinely from someone who has done it; pls start with tires, suspension, cooling and brakes. Once you max the track speed on those then think about the rest. Can I ask you, did your stock brakes hold up easy on your track sessions?

Ok roughly 25000 Dhs. All new and high end.
As i said there is lots of used performance parts, which are not bad, cars were sold and performance parts were taken off. Can sort you out headers and exhaust for now.
Suspensions i would suggest to get new, intake there are couple of not used still packed, going cheaper. Different types.
