Nice pics. Thanks for sharing.

Thats a 997 GT3 RS? What kind of times did it do compared to the S2000 contingent?

Anytime Cameron.

Thanks DesertRat.
Yes it is GT3 RS. In the sprint (one round on the track and there were several places where car had to go through cones)
the red S2k in the pic took +2.6 seconds compared to the GT3 which had best timing of the day (about 60 cars were there). If I remember correctly that red S2k had about 6th best timing in that event. It did better than some other 911's, Evo's, Corvette...... in the sprint.

There was an auto-x after that but I dont know about the timing in that one.
The red S2K is bone stock and the front tires were bald!

Gaja.

The auto sprint was a joke - we were told that we were going to have two runs (so some of us took the firstlap as a exploratory one) only to be told afterwards that because the event was so badly organised and was running so late, we'd only get one run - this left a lot of people very angry - myself included.

The 2 autocrosses were a bit better with the GT3 RS being roughly 2 secs faster than the S2Ks. I think the 996 GT3 (Harris) was the faster in the first AutoX we did.

As it was, we left at midnight and they still hadn't sorted out the final timings so I don't know what the last AutoX times were.

The usual shower of shit. I beleive that the previous event was great however I suspect that it'll be the exception rather than the norm which is a shame. We don't have any decent grass roots stuff here and I know plenty of people that would participate if only it was organised properly and with discipline.

I'm going to give it one more go and if it is the same - I'll not bother again.

Well the Orange GT3 RS clocked a time around 40.103 I recall for the Autotest 1.

Khalid's red S2000 clocked 41.09 (Correct me if I'm wrong Khalid). Pretty impressive driving in the red S2000!
