Yup . No sheit! This evening I get home from having bighead roll my rear fenders and see Taska out in the barn. I asked her how her horseback riding went this evening...and she says, "Oh...fine...just saw a black bear standing at the end of my dressage ring!"
"Really?!" I say. And she goes on to say she's riding Mission Impossible, when all the sudden he stopped in his tracks. Taska looks up to see what spooked MI, and about 100 yards away is a full grown black bear inside the pasture walking along the edge of her dressage ring. Funny thing was once the bear realized he was being watched, he loped away. But he was big enough that, when his evasive effort brought him in contact with our 3-board fence, standing on his hind legs he could hang his front paws over the top of the fence line. Pulled himself right on over, effortlessly. Then skedaddled into the woods. ( Huh?! How 'bout that! 'skedaddled' didn't even spell-check with an error. THAT must be how you spell it! ).
Anyway... WOW! A black bear right here on our farm!
Soooooo... Who wants to come over and camp out?
Later...

We have them too. One of them carried off a neighbor's little dog in his teeth. There are wild turkeys walking down our road every morning just to pi$$ off my dogs. I can't grow anything, because the deer just eat it. Living in the sticks is fun!
