nope. I am a very good sailor. the whole command knows me, so i am not worried at all about getting punished. Ego trip as it may sound i do get away with a lot of stuff.

That is a dumb thing to do, but isn't that private property? Generally they can't give you a ticket, even with an accident, on private property.

Now some form of trespassing, endagering others or something along those lines, I can understand.

You may be better off with the driving violations :-)

i went to jail for my reckless
i was going 92 in a 55 in va beach

my command knew about it and arranged for me to take the time out

spent over 600 bucks in fees and court costs after that

so it doesn't matter if you're a good sailor....just keep it within your dept bc if ur CO finds out you're probably going to mast

i don't mess around in VA anymore

-Ricky

edit: get a lawyer they could knock off the jail time if the judge isn't a dick
don't get the black lady traffic judge she threw me in jail

Do you know what her name was? That would help me to avoid her. And my captain and department head already know. they dont care. I just have to take care of it on my side. If i go to jail then I will just take leave. but i am sure i will just get the fine.

Keep in mind you can have a FL issued license and it be suspended in VA and your license will still be "valid" with the exception of driving in VA. Do some research, pull your VA driving record, and get ready for some community service!
if it gets suspended in va it will also be suspended in DC and Md as well because they share a point system

and btw NJP FTL!!!!

Well, a chief on my boat has made the same point as Budman. It was private property. So i am going to consult a lawyer to see what they say. It even says on private property on the ticket. And i know no one called in to complain so there would be no one to actually press charges or to complain. So that is a little shining light.

Dont worry USMC, no NJP in my future. Im a clean slate. Never even seen a DRB.

I will keep this updated. there isnt much out there about getting a reckless without Speeding.
