Damn, that sucks.

I went to see EJ to get some new tires a month ago and it rained or drizzled pretty much the entire way down there. My rears were basically bald, so I was babying the hell out of the car the whole time hoping the back end didn't kick out into a tree or something.

Might be interested in the entire long block/transmission. See what the insurance company would want to buy it back.

Vulture? Maybe.
Thats cool Cory was interested in buying so I'll let you know how everything works out

Not really sure I'm understanding the eyerolling and lecturing some of you guys are giving him after the fact. He mentioned that he knew he was taking a risk driving on bald tires, had replacement wheels/tires ordered, but had to get to work. Secondly, it is the worst right after it begins to rain. Last, and most importantly... I THINK HE LEARNED THE LESSON. Do you think he'll ever "chance" it again with bald tires? Didn't think so.

Sheesh. Guy totals his car and we get the shoulda, woulda, coulda parade.

Anyway man, glad you are okay. Lesson learned. So, what are the plans? Another S, or something else?

he man sorry to hear/see the bad news.. i know where your coming from with this i totalled my last car at 35 mph b/c of rain.. worst part was it was a front wheel drive car but my rear tires where bald... and all of a sudden i was doing cirlces.. had 0 control of the car. i didnt think driving a FWD car the rear tires would make that much of a dif.. but it did. THEN I BOUGHT MY S so it wasnt the worst thing it the world. head up. and just think now.. you can upgade i just mean another S. maybe new, or dif color. or w/e but you know you want another one.
