i have encompass insurance. their rates blew the others away ($114/mo for my es300 and 95 pathfinder, was $121 with the S and pathfinder) and i had to file a windshield claim with them. it was very easy. i paid the $100 to the safelite glass guy when he came to work to put my windshield in

....oh and i have 3 pts on my MD license

and i know it might seem like a lot of what i listed might be Sport collision center's fault, but Geico (Zach) is the one communicating with me, he is the one who has the choice whether or not to lie to me, and he has consistently choosing to lie (when he actually does communicate). i thought that geico would handle the situation well in the beginning because they were VERY helpful, punctual, and maintained good relations with me. but once the car was actually handed over to them for the repairs, it was all downhill.
Let us not down talk and entire company for the actions of a few bad people. Every company and I do mean EVER SINGLE COMPANY will have bad apples. It is a part of business and there is not anything we can do about it. Over the years, I have had insurance with State Farm, Progressive, and Esurance. Thus far, Esurance has been the cheapest by far. I have a stolen motorcycle claim pending with progressive and my claim rep is sub par to say the least. He took 1 weeks vacation with no notification on his voicemail or anything so anyone calling in to check status of a claim feels as if he is simply not getting back to them b/c he never took the 2 minutes to advise he was out of the office until the 7th, I had to do some sleuthing to find out. My WRX was totaled on a Monday, I had a check from progressive by wed's afternoon for the full value+dogbox transmission costs (i had just installed it about a month go), wheels, exhaust, and recent 60K mile service. (total came to just over 21K minus my 1K ded. I work in a claims role for State Farm, and I can honestly say in my experience, GEICO is the WORST company to have if you are a true car lover. They love recycle parts, and cheap labor. I would happily pay a little higher payment for better backing and more confidence that i'll be completely indemnified should an accident occur.... Have fun w/ your GIECO policies when you have an accident!

it might seem bad that i label Geico as a bad company because of my experience with 2 unreliable people, but i think that every employee at a company represents that company. if they choose to keep those unreliable people employed by them then they are choosing to cement that name for themselves. but i will say one thing--they were surprisingly flexible with my aftermarket parts (ings rear and xt7 wheel). they let me buy them back from wherever i wanted and they fully reimbursed me upon my emailing the invoices to them. i'd heard earlier that it's hit or miss as to how at-fault insurance companies will handle your mods.

If the other person is at fault and their insurance take responsibility for fixing your car. They have to put your car back into the condition that it was prior to the accident. Regardless if you have aftermarket parts or not. If you had pure 24karat gold wheels, they would have to cover it.

I was in the same situation in December. The person that hit me had Geico, and after talking to the adjuster, she stated that all aftermarket and OEM parts will be replaced. And if I'm not satisfied with the repairs, they'd have to redo it. They cut me a separate check for the wheels, alignment, and mount and balance of the tires.

Now if you are at fault, it all depends on what your insurance wants to cover for you. This is where the hit or miss comes in.

We are supposed to handle a claim within 24-48 hrs. I cant speak too hard for auto because I work for the Powersports dept. Cycle we have the best rates around. But If you have any ?'s about rates I'll be more than happy to answer them.

Should a GEICO customer have an at-fault claim, they are most likely dropped or have their rates sky-rocket.
Yep. My brother backed into two cars in a parking lot 3 months apart, and Geico drop-kicked him after the second one. I was particularly amused when I learned he later became a chauffeur for the Amish.
