WOW Close Call
So my girlfriend has been taking care of a lot of paperwork to get her last name changed back from her divorce and was on the phone with USAA. She asked me to get a price quote. Mind you I have 3 cars at the moment. With Geico i had full coverage on the S2000 and liability on my civic and bronco 2. I have been paying about 830 for 6 months with Geico. USAA quoted me at close to 1800 for the same coverage. The rep from USAA was concerned at the fact that my premium was very low with geico thinking that I didnt have full coverage on the S. Ive had the car for just about 2 years now without a problem from geico and thought that i havent had the proper coverage over that time. So I called Geico just to verify my coverage and they told me that i do have full coverage on the car...which i do(thank God).
Long story short is that the little gecko isnt lying when he says that they can save a butt load on auto insurance.

i hardly ever see geico insurance here at the dealership.....don't know why but my experience with them has always been higher than others for the same insurance. but that is just my $.02
and i'm surprised usaa was very high. usually their rates for insurance and loans are well below other "standard" routes (ie: local banks, insurance offices, etc)

Thats interesting, I have USAA and I pay 1000 every six months for full coverage on the S and liability and comprehensive for my Corrado and I was getting quotes like 1500 from Geico (which is still better than the 2000 dollar quote from Farmers, my old company).

geico cuts every corner possible and lies a lot when taking care of an accident in which their client is at fault so that they can offer their clients those low rates.

the adjuster assigned to my car (Zach Varnauskas) never answers his phone, and does not respond to messages. he only sometimes gets back to me maybe 4 or 5 days after a complaint to his supervisor (Mia Johnson). he has told me that he's going to the body shop on X day and will call me at X time to let me know what is going on and never does so. he has told me he will submit a supplement for X damage and never gets around to it until i question him about it weeks later. he has agreed to submit a supplement for X damage and then later tells me that they won't cover it. he has lied to me more than once regarding the status of my car (stuff that the body shop is in charge of). i don't know why he'd lie about some stuff that he has no control over. he and his boss are always trying to pacify me, but then i find out that they were lying just to calm me down. i would be much rather that they tell me that they honestly don't know something, or that the answer is 'no' than have them give me 'definite' answers that turn out to be false. they have been 'waiting for a molding to come in' for almost 2 weeks now. now my car is promised to me tomorrow, but it's promised to me everyday, so who knows
and i know it might seem like a lot of what i listed might be Sport collision center's fault, but Geico (Zach) is the one communicating with me, he is the one who has the choice whether or not to lie to me, and he has consistently choosing to lie (when he actually does communicate). i thought that geico would handle the situation well in the beginning because they were VERY helpful, punctual, and maintained good relations with me. but once the car was actually handed over to them for the repairs, it was all downhill.
