Rene, thank you for asking. Wish I had been in the discussion earlier.

I'll be keeping #04- 2004 is the year my father succumbed to cancer. I do, however, have three #57's on my car.

I recognize that your intention is to honor Cale but I think that no S2000 should ever run that number IMHO.

Just another friend of Cale

I am happy to learn that that is the general consensus. I think Cale's number should be retired in his honor.

I will see all of you that attend on 7 November for the Memorial Laps.

I have lurked in this thread and glad to see how it turned out.

Rene, I know your intentions were/are to honor Cale and you have just helped a few others come up with numbers for the same purpose. It is pretty cool to see all of that come from a simple question.

Me, I run 58 because I am old and was born in 1958. How else could I ever remember the number?

It will be great to see Skip and Rene running in TTB together. Who is going to set the net TTB record?

Lou

How about the black-on-white oval w/ 57 on it, did you get one of those?

Hey Guys, I did not know Cale personally.
My question is would it be appropriate for me to have one of those numbers? I would like to honor him, but since I did not really know him, I don't know if it's ok with you guys.

Hey Ole,

I think it is fine to use one of the numbers. This is not a contest to show who knew Cale best, it is simply a way to keep honoring Cale's memory.
