I, too, have been stuck driving my Grand Cherokee instead of the S for almost two months now. Will this ever melt? Ever End?

It's the only car I have...and better than the bikes in the snow... With snow tires, it's better than most 4x4's. I'll probably put the top down this afternoon

Seriously...with snow tires you get a ton of grip. The car's character doesn't change, of course - it will still spin out - but you have a great deal of directional control, stopping ability, and traction. The light weight is that much less mass to accelerate (in any direction) so it's more likely to follow the commands you give it. The hardest thing about driving this car in slick conditions is the quicker than average throttle response and sensitivity...you have to be extra smooth not to unbalance the car.

I've driven many different 4x4 vehicles/types in many different conditions, and I'm at least as comfortable in it with snows on than in a 4x4 without. Of course if you put some good winter tires on a 4x4, that's a whole different ball game.

I don't think mine has been driven since like Feb 1 or something like that. Since then, the cover has almost blown off after the last big snow, so I had to take that off. I started her up the other day and she ran fine. Just need to stretch her legs a bit so the rotors don't get too rusty.
