Well I drove to work and school today - I would have had the top down if it weren't raining

I did get an unpleasant surprise though

I had my strikers replaced last week to quiet the windnoise from the old worn out strikers preventing the top from coming down all the way. Well, when I pulled out of my neighborhood and hit 45 MPH water just came streaming in where the strikers had been replaced (it was a wet 50 mile drive)! Needless to say, the car is now in service having those new strikers tightened down some more

I did, but fortunately for me. I live less than 10 minutes away from work.

Mine's in the garage. They don't clean/sweep the apt. complex nor it's street until couple of days later.

I rode the bus for about 30 min and rode the metro, got stuck in Gallery place/China town switch over for good 30 min, then walked to work... total guestimated time from Arlington to Bethesda about 2 hours. It usually takes me 40-45 min to drive. Man, it sucked!

I also just ordered all season tires this past Tuesday, but it got shipped out on Thursday from Tirerack in DE and I recieved it Yesterday.

So, I'm still stuck at my apt. I'm hoping that the weather will warm up so I can drive my car out to get my tires swapped (2 at a time).

I had my "first" thrill ride in my S with the OEM S02's last Thursday night. As I drove home into about two inches of snow all was going pretty well while driving at about 30 MPH until I pulled into the left hand turn lane to make the left down the road in which I live off of. As soon as I turned into the deeper virgin snow the car started into about a twenty degree Yaw to the left. As I countered steered and tried to slow down the ABS kicked in for the first time. I had the left turn arrow but the vehicle going east bound could not stop and after realizing that they were not going to be able to stop for their red, did the the right thing and let off the brakes and make it through the intersection in time for me to get off the brakes and commit to my left hand turn before sliding into the the median on the opposite side of the intersection,

As a two time graduate of the Skip Barber School, and a former pilot I am not uncomfortable with being in "unusual attitudes" as I have spent a fair amount of time on the skid pads at the Barber school as well as being upside down in airplanes. But I have to tell you that my first experience in the snow with the S02's proved to me that they REALLY are useless in the snow.
