It's not far if he spends Monday night between the track and Inline/P-Tuning. Of course, you wouldn't know about that because...........

......... you ain't gonna be at the track Monday.

most of these guys have done S2000's so they already have a good baseline... if it takes him an hour, he just made $600.... with my car having minimal mods I cannot imagine it taking much longer than an hour.... all tuners prices seem to suck!!!!

I just got my car tuned with similar mods on an F22C and AEM EMS at PTuning in Manassas, VA. They have a really nice dyno setup there (Indoor Dyno Dynamics load bearing dyno with an amazing fan setup to simulate real road conditions).

I think it was around $550 for the tune but it varies from car to car because they charge by the hour ($250 for the first hour, $150 for every additional hour).

I only have a Ricks Plus 6 Header, AEM v2 Intake, and SuperSprint Exhaust (no test pipe), so you'd probably make much better power than I would ... but as I've been driving the car more and more I notice a substantial gain in mid-range power. Car still takes awhile to turn-over when starting, but otherwise everything else is great.

Peak horsepower is only up ~5hp from 204whp to 209whp (Dyno Dynamics dynos generally read a little low), but my max torque gain was somewhere around 15 ft-lbs I think from 130 ft-lbs -> 145 ft-lbs? I can try to take a picture of my dyno when I get home from work.

I understand your worry about the cost -- but every car is a little different. Even if they have a good baseline to work off of, no two cars are identical. Even stock, some cars put down more horsepower than others, and require a different tune because of that. With tuning, imho you really want to pay someone who knows what they're doing. If you pay someone who will do it on the "cheap" and only half knows what they're doing -- you're asking for a destroyed engine. You get what you pay for in this case I think...

Good luck with your tune.
