When/Where are we planning to detail our cars for WTDX
Just wondering where you guys will wash/detail your cars for WTDX. Mine needs some touch and wondering if some of you guys want to meet up for car wash perhaps next Tuesday or Wednesday (depending on weather) somewhere so we got something to look forward to
It's been pretty quiet in here for past couple weeks.
Of course even you're not going to WTDX you're welcome to join us and bring your friends etc.
If you have a house or doing it alone and want to just come out and hang out, that's fine also. We could grab Ritas afterwards. Just a thought
Anyone?

I still want to wash it before I go. Might get better gas mileage due to no air resistance

I'll already be up on The Dragon by Tuesday (dirty car and all ). Typically there have been one to two designated 'wash areas' at Fontana Village every year. A hose at each, a bucket, some wash rags, some Dawn or similar mild liquid soap, etc. Community-share kinda stuff with all folks leaving things where they found them so others can similarly benefit during the event.

The wash area wasn't too crowded the one time I was down there. I think four of our group all went down together and didn't have to wait (except for each other). No time for a careful detail, but I didn't want to waste the time anyway. Just a quick wash and back on the road
Your car will get pretty dirty on the ride down, so don't worry too much about getting it spotless before you leave.

the first few times i've gone i've washed my car before and when i got there throughout the weekend. now that i run a more aggressive brake pad, theres just so much dust thats it's PITA. so i just wash it once when i leave, once when i get there. and then a thorough wash when its all over.
