richmond is 3 hours from me, but there are a few that live north of me (or west) where it would be longer...

as long as it has good drives/path, that'll be worth the extra drive for some of us (as long as we're not on call or out of town that day!)

Evo and Chantilly is good, but does it have a nice drive/path that's near by?

Just a thought...

Well, from what I have seen from the post so far it seems that Chantilly or the Fairfax area has the most votes. That works for me.

I would suggest distilling the choices down to three or four (perhaps Chantilly, Richmond, Culpepper, Laurel or Columbia) and then take a poll. Furthermore, may I suggest not just considering the geographic center of the mid-atlantic region but basing the decision on the geographic center of the people that respond and are likely to attend such an event.

If you poll people as to where they prefer to meet up, I think everyone will obviously just pick the closest and most convenient place for themselves. Perhaps you should poll active people (or just use everyone's registered location) as to exactly where they live. Then have someone with good mapping software find the weighted, geographical epicenter and you will have your "central location". As Matt said, be sure to only include serious owners since otherwise the analysis will be skewed. Just my $.02.
