Well someone asked me if they could bring another competitors product to show case that day. It was kind of him to ask, first of all, but did he really even need to ask me that? It took some effort to bring the Meguiars folks out, but to start making comments about Meguairs products not being up to par is just plain lame. You people do understand the rep reads this thread right? So if you don't like a certain product, please keep it to yourself. I could care less about it. The rep is out here on his own time, as a favor.

Hey, sorry for the misunderstanding.

I've used a lot of products and NXT wax is good at what it does - with the understanding that this particular person's paint is "not so great" shape, I think NXT is a good choice - better than a lot of other products for hiding swirls and scratches and leaving a nice shine and gloss.

The point is, no matter WHAT wax you use, prep is the key. You can only cover up poorly or un-prepped paint for so long. NXT will do a good job of that, but nothing will last very long just masking underlying problems.

Again, apologies for any misunderstanding, that wasn't meant as Meguiar's bashing - it didn't even occur to me. I regularly use (and love) lots of Meguiar's products regularly and would recommend them without hesitation.

I am (was?) quite excited and looking forward to meeting the reps (hi reps!) and getting their low-down on proper product usage techniques and suggestions for solving different problems using the relatively large percentage of Meguiar's products I have in my arsenal.

Am I still welcome? :?

I'm sure you're still welcome. Peter is pretty forward. If he didn't want you to come he would of sent you a PM. People are always welcome to have their own opinion, but when a rep comes out (in his own free time) to help us out, its always good to make them feel welcome. So to Meguairs.

Holy double post.

Yea Chris, you're still more than welcome. I'm pretty straight forward as Tom said. If you weren't welcome, I'd let you know. It takes alot for you to be banned from some of the functions I do.
