I've used a lot of products and NXT wax is good at what it does - with the understanding that this particular person's paint is "not so great" shape, I think NXT is a good choice - better than a lot of other products for hiding swirls and scratches and leaving a nice shine and gloss.
The point is, no matter WHAT wax you use, prep is the key. You can only cover up poorly or un-prepped paint for so long. NXT will do a good job of that, but nothing will last very long just masking underlying problems.
