Agreed with Carmax, they don't care about letting people test drive anything. My friend showed up in his Forrester and test drove the C6 Z06, no questions asked.

As my car sits now it is quite a bit faster in a straight line than a stock s2k.
Fixed.

me too

Moving from the WRX to an S2K was smooth for me. I knew exactly what I wanted though. If no one will let you drive theirs, I'm sure it can't be hard to find one on craigslist or at a used dealership not too far away. The torque will be noticeably missing from what you have with a modded WRX (I don't know what you have, but even a stock WRX is noticeably more torque-y even.) I don't think the S2k is less comfortable than a WRX either, the seats are nicer, the only problem is space.

What kind of mods do you have?

Sorry if I offended any of you AP1 guys. That wasn't my intent. I just like the looks of the AP2 better and would like the little bit of extra torque I get from the 2.2L. I know they made a few minor suspension changes for the better. Also considering my wrx is an 04 I'd like to not move to an older car.

The wrx has the usual vf34 upgrade a lot of 2.0L guys have. with that running an ewg, fmic, inlet, cai, injectors, eboost2, turboback. It has a built transmission in it which does make it more enjoyable. Most suspension mods have been done too...upgrade sways, bushings, endlinks, coilovers, strut bars. The car made 322whp 283wtq when I last got it tune.
Here's a couple pics

Only other thing that has changed you can't see in the pics is the car now has the red 4/2 pot brakes from an 07 wrx.

I still have the most fun on backroads and twisties and you can't beat a 2dr rwd car for something like that. My brothers s14 with coilovers alone does as well or better in the corners than my car I feel. Maybe pushing it to the very edge mine would do better but even on a quick drive in his car it feels much nicer.

I think I'm just going to go back to the dealer and try to convince them I really want it and try to get a testdrive. I looked online at carmax and didn't find any in my area.

I don't really utilize all the extra space I get from having a 4dr so I don't think I'd miss the extra doors much. It is a really small car though. I'm 6'1" and have to have the seat back in the s2k already. I see plenty of tall people with this car though it doesn't really worry me. I feel like its comfortable just sitting in it.
For now it would be a daily.

^^^Nice pictures . The S is underpowered compared to your WRX but the sound of the VTEC will make you feel faster and happier.

I haven't driven a WRX but I've driven the 09 Evo X two weeks ago and it's very nice car to drive, it accelerate fast but without the VTEC it feels ordinary IMO.

Used to have a WRX wagon in addition to the S. Definitely dumped the Subie.
