Kevin's car has 91k miles. I doubt it would be covered, but I hope he checks anyway. Thanks for the headsup!

I've got 46,000 miles with no extended warranty.

If the CV joints are toast based on the TSB, I'm betting that is the cause of the broken axle.

edit: just read that the nut sheared off the axle. I still think it's worth having them see if the CV's are bad. If the CV's were toast, they would have introduced forces on the hub causing it to wear and or causing the nut to shear of the axle.

What dealer did you go to? And anyone you would recommend me talking to? I think my CV Joints are heading in that direction too. If I could get it done under that TSB then that would be great.. I'm in the same boat as Kevin, with mileage.

I went to Honda of Bowie, but got crappy service see some of my story

A new Service Director started in August (from Tischer Laurel) and he's been cleaning house since. I've had the car back for a coupe of weeks and so far it's been good.

At this point I can't recommend a dealer that I've had a good personal experience with (JCH was good but Eddie the mechanic left a long time ago). Brown's in Glenn Burnie and Honda of Annapolis have done a good job on scheduled services.

Hey Mark

Yes I ended up paying the bill. Also, one of the mechanics scratched my right rear rim. I ended getting in a argument with the Service Manager. Filed a complaint with American Honda and from what I understand he was fired.

Bummer Kevin.

I resurrected because I have a horrible squeak coming from right rear and I'm out of warranty by a year. I do have a little less miles at 20k. I figure it's the axlenut at the least but could be the bearing. Screw it I am going to take a look at it today. Man that 36mm socket is huge.
