Default Vibration in the rear, driver side rear

I'm posting this for Kevin (NO S8NT). He was driving on 295 North when his driver side rear tire just started to vibrate pretty violently. He pulled over and looked at his wheel and it was cambered out drastically with the top of the wheel sticking out past his fender. He's stuck on the side of the road as I type this and was wondering if anyone else had this problem.

Damn! It's possible that his upper control arm may have broken. He should pull the wheel off and have a look.

If he needs one, I have a brand new one at the house. After my wreck I saw a member selling one at a very good price, so I bought it in case I had another misfortune and on the driver's side.

Pike- I could see that. But wouldn't the ball joint castle nut grind into the wheel? Was that why it wasn't able to be driven?

Just checked. I was wrong. I have a brand new driver's side lower control arm.

Well I just received a call from Landmark Honda. I need to replace the hub, bearing, rotor, ABS sensor and axle. According to the tech, the nut sheared off the end of the axle. I am looking at $1305 so the Mugen SS front bumper will have to wait a little longer.

Wait!!!!

I just had the same problem fixed for free.

Axle sheared off, took out rear pads, hub, speed sensor, etc.

For about a year I felt a vibration and heard a squeaking from the rear when accelerating. Brought it to the attention of a couple of dealers that just shrugged their shoulders.

In August the noise turned into a bang-bang. The dealer replaced the axles for free because of a the CV joint service bulletin.

Month later the vibration and noise was back, dealer tightened and greased the hubs.

Month later noise is back, then loud screeching noise. Axle sheared, speed sensor broken, hub toasted, brake pads destroyed the disk surface.
