If you stay up here there's better places to party than Pickles and those other places that have so many people you can't do anything.

I kind of liked the place. They handled the crowd very well. But if there's better than I am game.

I guess they are good for being right by the Stadiums and such, but over in Federal Hill or Canton there are other bars that are still nuts but with less expensive 's

Spent some time at Luna Del Sea on Friday night and the place was super mellow. Spoke to the owners of Tranocria and Faidleys and both of them were kinda pi$$ed about the race and how it fukd up their weekend. I think they missed a HUGE opportunity to cater for some of the racers and their crews ...........

My BGP pics on Flickr.

Theres always negatives to anything like this but the positives definitely out-weighed it...nonetheless, I did see and hear first hand that alot of the restaurants that were not right by the race and are normally packed out the door on Fri/Sat were hardly filled due to where the people were and alot of people didn't go downtown close to where the race was due to being scared about traffic bs. So I can understand that.

The TV/entertainment guy at the Baltimore Sun had nothing but negative things to say about the ratings and such, which I think is premature.

Hell just the video's of the Kaanan/Helio crash gave the city/race ratings

Can't wait to see how they improve upon this year, in 2012

Don't know where the Baltimore Sun is coming from. The stats came out the other day and the BGP was the highest rated IndyCar race EVER on Versus.

Problem was that it was on Versus. I had to go searching to find the damn broadcast.

As for actual attendance, it was spectacularly attended. Even the drivers commented on the crowds.
