Vantage points for Baltimore GP?

Just looked at the map. Grand stand 27 couldn't see into Turn 1? You don't say. I just looked at the map to see where 27 was. That had to be close to a 1/2 (or at least 1/4) mile. I bet she couldn't see 2-12 from that location, either.

I had GA tickets and spent most of Sunday at the end of Pratt Street right around the 400 brake marker. I was able to get right up to the fence and had an excellent view of the cars coming down the straight, plus there was a big TV screen right behind me so I could see the action elsewhere. The only thing that I didn't like was that areas that were open to watch on Friday were off limits on Saturday/Sunday. One example was there was a huge grassy hill on the left side of Pratt street, great view, lots of shade and very close to the track... that was a great spot to watch from Friday but on the weekend it became off limits because that was the path to get the reserved patio grandstand further down. It seemed very retarded that the organizers would block off such a huge area that went almost completely unused, I don't know why they couldn't just put a gate or guard around that grandstand instead.

I had an awesome time, yes there was no good viewing area with the GA ticket, but I didn't expect there to be really. If I wanted to wanted to watch more of the race I would have been in the stands. I just watched the race the next day on tv so I could see what happened.

Eventhough I'm hurting from walking so much on Sunday (I know I walked around the entire track at least 2 1/2 times) I am so happy I was able to see it from different vantage points. The front straight was so full of people, I said screw it after I watched the beginning of the race down at turn 1 with a very limited view due to so many people.
It was tough and long to get to the grandstand 8-10 but they had some neat views as they were hitting it hard by turn 2 to turn 3 so it was cool seeing them get on it. The grandstands there had a nice view of them coming by 2, through 3 and even into 4, I couldn't see turn 4 that good through the fencing.
I think my best spots were back around Camden Yards between 8 and 9 which I really enjoyed seeing them hammering it from 8 and then 9 they could still carry some speed through. I stood on a wall right by turn 10 at the end of the race and seeing them fly by at a buck 40 was just so cool (fastest turn on the course) (even saw myself on TV standing on the wall at turn 10 with like 7 laps left.)
I also stood in the shade in front of the Hilton at turn 12 and the echo was awesome, since they got into hard off 12 before the Chicane.
Can't wait till next year!
I'm thinking the grandstand 8 and 9 have the view of the most turns but the one grandstand that was on the inside of the track right at turn 1 was cool if you were on the top since you could see them hard down the front, hard brake into 1 and up through 2.
