Signed petition... don't know if my signature counts though cuz I dont even have a license right now
This would be sooo nice if it went through... I got 2 tickets and 3 warnings for having no front plates on my civic and that was all in less than a year

Wish MD would do this. Then again its not a huge deal. Just take the plate off. If a cop decides to stop you for it you may get "taxed" from time to time, no biggie

My front plate is in my windshield...looks good (in my opinion) and its legal (according to a local Fairfax cop). I definately signed that petition though. I wonder how many signatures they need....

Petitions are not quantity-based. They are meant to (on a "the more the merrier/angrier" way of thinking) impact a state representative in a manner such that s/he appreciates that a large number of his constituents support a particular measure. And that s/he, as their elected representative, their purpose is to vote the mind of their constituents.
So again...more petitioners...more reason for the elected representative to feel confident in casting a vote for the measure to pass. If there are few petitioners...the representative will assume there is little public support, and as such, s/he should not vote for the measure.

PS. And a little cash thrown the reps way doesn't hurt either j/k
