Track day after the Nor'easter
This year, the Monday following the Nor'easter, we will be heading to New Hampshire International Speedway for a track day. This event is sponsored by SCDA. They provide all the instructors. This is a professional event. The price is a bit higher than other track days, but it is worth the price to not have to worry about instructors and training, etc.
My plan is to head up to New Hampshire on Sunday afternoon and get a hotel near the track. If others are so inclined, Ellen (Tadashi) or I will be happy to scout out a hotel for us. Let us know.
This is a limited registration track day and SCDA is open to people outside of the club, so if you are interested in participating, now is the time to register. Here is the link to the schedule. Scroll down to the August 18 NHIS event. You will see links for the application. I hope many of you will sign up for this exciting event that follows the Nor'easter. After you register, please let us know you will be attending by posting on the track day thread in the Nor'easter forum.
Thanks for reading.

Thanks for posting this, Bill.
Can you please confirm whether or not the track and SCDA are going to require rollbars and/or harnesses?
We have had a lot of trouble with that down this way. It seems that 90% of the tracks in our area are requiring these items now for liability reasons.

Ellen checked and NHIS does not require a roll bar in our S2000s. An SA rated helmet is required. I have not heard that a harness requirement was ever even considered.
Now... Lets see if I can get someone to go. I, most unfortunately, won't be able to do the track day while I am up there. But I am registered for pretty much everything else.

Some more info, the car will be inspected ofr things like oole items. the one thing tht could flunk you is dirty brake fluid. They strongly recommend you have the brake fluid changed out in advance of the meet. They expect the fluid to be clear/amber in color, not brown or black.
They also recommend that you have your brake pads inspected to make sure you have adequate thickness remaining. In New England, we have already scheduled a brake pad and fluid tech day at my house this spring.
