Tint Shop
I know this has been posted but tint shops come and go.
Anyone know of a good tint shop in the DC area?
I just want the 2 sides tinted. not the rear. prob 35% tint. and non metalic so my radar detector works!
thanks!

I took my TL to get tinted at LA Tint (in Sterling). They did a really good job... I have 38% (effectively 35%) Formula One Ultimate (metallic) tint.
For the TL its a bit of a pain to tint the rear windshield because there's a dot matrix pattern on the top to help reduce glare I think. Because its bumpy, the tint doesn't adhere very well and a lot of tint shops do a poor job of tinting that area, or some shops just refuse to tint that area.
Formula One tint is made by Llumar and its their "top of the line" tint. Comes with a lifetime warranty and all ... costed about $250 to get the TL tinted, but should be less for the S2K since its only 2 side windows.
For non-metallic "classic" tint, it should be even cheaper ... but I haven't noticed any problems with the metallic tint on my TL as far as radio reception and GPS are concerned.
Apparently there's a new "Pinnacle" series thats ceramic based instead of metal based and won't interfere with any of your electronics. Goto www.formulaone.com for more info.
