[quote name='Black Nugget' date='Jan 26 2009, 01:33 PM']I haven't been keeping up at all with the Dragon, however I'd certainly like to do something that doesn't interfere with that meet - as I know that the Mid-A members have a huge attendance at Raul's gathering.

i feel like the COs avoid meets where the newer people will be in attendance, even though they claim the leadership is representative and fair
We prefer to not stand outside with kangaroo jackets and take pics, you dont attend our meets anyway. So it goes both ways, why do you always feel it neccessary to complain? There are 2 meets on the forum right now and your not attending either, and none of the "younger" (Whatever that means, we are your age sir) are there either, so keep your mouth shut please.

Sorry Chad, Im just tired of seeing the whining when perfectly good oppurtunities are there. If you have a response, make it a pm, dont further jack this thread please

"Chaddy" would like to see it done sooner, but yea that'll work too.
Haha, <3

Starbucks meets wont work for me, I am in the auto business. Saturday mornings bright and early I'm in the office at 830am.

God knows I'm resisting my natural tendency to thread jack... Back on topic I think this would be a great idea we just have to decide who is willing to do the most driving.

Sorry Chad.
Oh please, no need to apologize to me! I agree - this thread should bring the opportunity to bring a lot of new and old friends together for a fun filled afternoon. I whole heartily agree that similar comments should just remain out of the thread. Had I retained my CO title I would have removed it shortly after it was posted.

The Dragon is the last weekend in April; the 23rd through the 26th. It should be easy enough to avoid this just by doing our thing a little earlier. It is plenty warm out by the early April or even the end of March.

I thought of using my sister's place again but I think that is probably too far for nearly everyone. It is about 45 minutes north of Fredericksburg near the town of Marshal, Virginia. I dunno how that would work out but it is an option. There is a standing invite for us to come back whenever we want.

I am happy to look for closer in locations. There is a park near Haymarket, Virginia where we staged the drive for my BBQ last summer. It would take some research to find out how we get access but it might be worth it. It was a few miles north on 15 from I-66. A little more easterly from the winery...
Jeff, I think with the early comments about 3 legged race, potato sack race, egg on a spoon race and other similar ideas going to a decently sized park would be a great idea. The only downside is if it is a very public park - we may not have the room to gather unless we get there rather early.

I do like the idea though - an outdoors meet, something that not only the members can attend, but also bring the family. Perhaps we can even bring a soccer ball, football, and frisby for some good old fashion out doors fun!

If you could possibly check on that park in Haymarket, I'd really appreciate it.

No problem... Let me see what I can do!

I'll see what I can dig up by the end of the week.

I would definitely attend something like this

So far all the suggestions sound awesome. I am more than willing to help where needed.
