Usually if you didn't notify the insurance company before about the aftermarket equipment and have it insured, then they don't cover it. However, I've heard stories that if you produce receipts they wwould consider it after the accident.
Steve, I'll throw my two cents in about the next choice of vehicles: Audi A6 or A4. Also, you mentioned a white or black S if you were to get one. Uh... you don't have time to keep your car clean now. Getting a black one, while being the sexiest color when clean, would only accentuate your inability to devote proper cleaning time to said vehicle. So for you... black car.

^ hahaha true, true... I doubt I'll getting another S. The +1 has pretty much put the kaibosh on that. I'm thinking about the G35 6MT, maybe, just maybe I could convince her that a 350 is ok. I'll need to test drive one with her. I explained that I'll drive any car I'm in (that I own) like I stole it, so its better that I have a sports car that is built for speed/handling. It will be finding a happy medium.... maybe the closed cockpit of the Z will make her feel more secure. To be honest, I don't think having a s2000 as a daily driver is a hill worth dying on. (being married you should understand skip....its all about choosing your battles )

when my civic back in the days got broken into and stolen.... the insurance company stated to me that everything that was "bolted" onto the car is covered.... and having reciepts helps greately.....
