Default Teaching My Girl how to drive my car

OK guys........Sandy has been waiting patiently for me to teach her how to drive the S2k. She's never driven a manual car before so this is the first. I'm gonna do it this saturday. She picks up on things VERY quickly so i hope this is gonna be easy for her. I think its gonna be HOT that she learns to drive a manual and to see her drive the s2k would be sexy!

So around here someplace... can anyone recommend a BIG GIANT open space i can take her? like far from any thing to hit? lol

AHAHAHHAHAAHA....my girl wants to drive s2000 so bad too...It scares me but I feel like one of these days I just have to let her.

Actually the s2000 is really easy to drive in terms of shifting and the clutch - but its still scary, I keep putting it off. Good Luck!

My girlfriend drives manual better then I do at times. She's also been driving manual for the last 12 years of her life.

I'm in the same boat. She's never driven a manual and her civic has scratches on all bumpers from her driving. I think it'll be a good while before I turn over the keys, but she's been hinting at it for a while.

Let us all know how it goes...and share any advice you get from this experience.

find a nice office building parking lot, if you do it on the weekend you should have the lot to yourself.

Taught my wife on a TR7 in 1982. It went like this:
1st time - stalled engine
2nd time - burned rubber and then released throttle, neck snap

Suggestion. Wear a helmet!

I miss my ex-girlfriend's ability to drive a manual... her civic was stick... DD's FTW Now Jen doesn't even have the slightest urge to try and learn, she hates driving in general.

You FINALLY seem to have found the perfect looking wheels...and NOW you want to teach her how to parallel park a stick shift?

G/L! I'm sure she'll do fine
