Summit Point April 1 & 2?
#23
Wow! I am sitting here thinking back on the hudreds (if not thousands) of laps I raced around the original "Point" on motorcycles. I have not seen the new Shenedoah circuit only the Jefferson back in 03.
Hmm, they accept our OEM roll hoops. Will they accept a Snell appoved M helmet? Or do they require an SA approval? I have a Pryotech goof that is an SA shell with an M interior that I bought for FCT04. Now that my S has become a "Garage Queen" and is no longer my "daily driver" I am tempted to enjoy it more. Unlike the "artificial" 8,000 RPM redline that I used at Beaverun knowing that I needed it to get to work afterwards, I am fighting off the urge to "really" enjoy it.
But, then again, I hate the thought of being a "Vintage rolling road block", and holding people up.
Have fun.

No, like I held George up at FCT04. While using my 8,000 RPM artificial red line.
P.S. George was kind enough, knowing that I was having problems with my analog Camcorder cutting off (I guess due to vibration) to follow me around for two laps and send me the video.
Thanks again George.

I was driving BeaveRun in an AP2 last year and was using 7500 as my arbitrary redline. Not as fun as the times I have been on Beaverun in my old AP1. Don't worry about roadblocks, if you want to drive slower just register for group 2. I have been discusing becoming an instructor with the head NASA instuctor but I still registered for group 2 this time since I will be:
1) on a new circuit for the first time
2) new car
3) street tires not my usual r-comps
4) new club
Group 1 would probably be a bit slow for you even if you are taking it easy, it is also full of novices who can be..... lets say a bit unpredictable at times
