It was cool to hang out a little. Sorry Drew didn't have his AP1 with him,he had hit his 3000 mile mark and didn't want to go over since he was about to do an oil change.

LOL, you can go over the 3000 mile mark with no problems. Most oils today are designed to go well over 3k miles. I change mine between 4500-5500 miles.

im with drew...i know its more expensive but i change my oil every 3000 miles regardless this way the motor stays a little fresher

I see your point. Those are just miles though. I'm sure every 3k miles you put on the car are all different. Some may have been very aggressive while others were moderate. It really comes down to how you drive it within those 3k miles.

This is one reason why I love the 'Oil minder' on my 06. It calculates when I should change my oil according to throttle inputs, rpm's..ie; you drive the car harder, your % is going to drop faster. I did my very first oil change on the 06 at just under 5k miles, and my oil minder was at 20%. So I went a total of 5k miles with quite a bit of redlining, and I could have gone another 1k with no problem.
