Speeding ticket help for out of towner
Hey everybody, I was just in the area visiting my mom, and on my way over to IN got a ticket for 92 on a 65. $270. I saw some posts about PBJ (1 yr. probation) Would they extend that to an out of towner since the chances of me returning are slim and do i have to show up to receive this? also, should i get a lawyer regardless? does anyone know a good lawyer? any thoughts would be very helpful since i am still relatively young and insurance would eat me a live.
thanks

Where did you get the ticket? (County?). Regardless...92 in 65; get yourself a lawyer. NC offers PBJs...VA is not often quite so lenient. Not sure about MD. But again...fill in the county blanks and you'll probably get quicker advice from folks that can relate from experience .

When I was a NY'er, I got a ticket for doing 64 in a 30 in MD for $270 also. I had called the DMV and a lawyer just to speak with them about it and it seems that their point system doesn't cross certain state lines. I would check and see if it's just a fine or points too. if it's just a fine, just pay it.

Did I miss where you got the ticket? I along with some other out of towners got a ticket in VA in 2001. The points didn't carry to NY or PA. Just pay the fine if that is the case. Call a traffic lawyer and ask them.
