u can get epoxy at hardware stores.
in addition to reinforcing the areas that typically tear, i will be conditioning the top bi-weekly. if the top isint conditioned and cared for, over exposure to the sun will cause the top to be fraile. the dryer it gets the more likely it is to crack. think of it as adding lotion to dry skin. same goes for leather seats too. BMW has a awesome soft top treatment solution but only if you're will to pay the price. for a bottle of soft top cleaner and soft top treatment, its about 44 dollars.
i figure i start caring for my top properly from the beginning it will make it last longer than it normally would. i'm the third owner of this car and even those the car has had everything documented since day one, i keep finding more and more issues with the car that were NEVER addressed.
slowly but surely, the car will be prestine again

I had a small pin hole in mine. So i used some clear silicone gel on the inside of the top. It's flexable and clear. You can't even tell its there.

Yea my 8yr old top is in great condition but I just noticed the very beginnings of wear 
You can't even see through the hole but it's fraying from the inside. I think I've caught it early enough that tape should deter any further wear..
The wash & wax forum has valuable advice on this topic, check it out. I've used both 303 and Raggtop and I prefer Ragg.

I've actually used a bicycle tire patch kit in the past on small tears, on the inside. The patch kits usually come with epoxy and small patches and their cheap. It actually worked pretty well.
